January is setting off to be pretty great so far, and so is GlossyBox! This month we got four full size products and one travel size – and so far I’m really impressed.
First up, we’ll talk about the travel size item. This is the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil. It costs £55 to buy full size, but you can also buy the travel size product, and I have found that a little goes a long way. I can only give first impressions at this point, but the oil feels very light and soaks into the skin almost instantly. It hasn’t left my skin feeling greasy, even in my more oily areas… I do think that so far this product is worth the splurge.
Next up is Nail Medic’s Nail and Cuticle Energizer. I’ve been putting this on for a couple of days now and I don’t really understand it. It smells nice, but I haven’t noticed any affect on my brittle nails, or dry/split cuticles. I know effects won’t show up instantly, but I was hoping for something. This product is full size and worth £5.99.
Evelyn Iona Cosmetics also included their Green Tea Primer in this months box. I’ve not really had a chance to try this properly yet but I have heard great things and so I’m excited about its addition to the box. From the use I have had, it has definitely felt moisturising on the skin. This is a full size product and it retails for £22, so to have it included in this box is a bargain!
Next is a Cream Blush by Apicia. The shade is a deep pink which is very flattering on my skin tone. A little goes a long way with this blush, and it blends out easily. I do find that it feels just a little greasy on my skin, and that it takes a little while to dry down, although it does eventually give a very natural looking finish. This is another full size product that retails for £22.
The final product is from Boots and its their Beauty Beneath Supplements. I’ve never been one for taking this sort of thing, because they’re usually expensive and it seems like a waste of money for something i’m not sure will have any affect on me. So I’m not offended to have them included this month. I obviously can’t review them as I have a full month’s supply included and you cant expect to see results from these things right away, and so I will be following these up with a seperate blog post entirely so watch this space!
I can tell you however that this is a full size product and that it would usually retail for £39.99.
So overall I’m happy with this months box, the products have been absolute bargains and I think it’s a great way to start the year. I’m already excited for February!
