Happy New Year and what not to you all!
So I’ve taken a bit of a break over the festive period so that I could just relax and enjoy the time with those that I love the most. I hope you all had the same opportunity.
I know these posts can seem a little bit braggy, and so I completely understand if you hate them or whatever, but I received some really lovely gifts this year, and I would love to share them with you all!
First up is makeup, and I have to say that my Mam essentially kept Nyx in business this year. I’ve included a photo down below to help you understand. I have to say though, the Soft Matte Lip Cream Vault 2 is my favourite, its given me a little ledge from my comfort zone, with the majority of shades being pinks and neutrals that I LOVE, but also a couple of daring shades like Navy and Green!
I finally got my hands on the Soph X Makeup Revolution palettes and they are both definitely worth the hype! The highlights swatch beautifully, but my favourite is definitely the eye shadow palette. Pug is such a fantastic transition shade… it’s exactly what I have been looking for!
I also got some fab bits from Kat Von D Beauty thanks to Matt, which I have been dying to try but just never had the funds to justify a treat to myself. The Lock It Setting Spray and Translucent Powder have already become staples in my makeup routine, and I’m living for the Lolita Blush and Shadow!
I also received a tonne of perfume for Christmas, which is always a winner. Gucci Bloom, Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs and the original Jimmy Choo are now all stocked in my collection, and its safe to say, i smell amazing 24/7!
If you follow me on Twitter you’ll have seen me tweet about this next gift already but basically, when I was little I had a Charmander plush that never left my side, but unfortunately, as children do, he was lost or broken or something along those lines. So for Christmas, at the ripe old age of 21 I got my replacement, I don’t think my mum quite realises how much this one meant to me but I honestly love it so much!
I also got a giant Grumpy plush from the Disney store which just makes me think of my dad!
My Mam also put together a pamper hamper filled to the brim with my favourite face masks and foot masks, as well as some bath bombs and skin care, which is another fave of mine! I love gifts that have taken a bit of thought like these.
Disney Pandora only recently came to the UK, and after spending a fortune on it during 2016’s trip to Texas, nobody was more excited about this than me, so waking up on Christmas morning and finding a Disney bracelet and several charms thanks to my Mam and Brother is honestly the best!
Anyone that knows me, know that my truest love is Greys Anatomy. I will never love another show as much as I love this and I can watch it a million times and it will never be boring for me, so I almost cried when I opened the two gifts below!
I’d never been a person that was into Lego as a child, but for Christmas Matt bought me a Lego Calendar, and Mam bought me a Dallas Cowboys Helmet and a Baseball Cap for the Texas Rangers…both my Dad’s teams, and I honestly have had so much fun building them. I now have a Lego obsession so if anyone can recommend some sets I’ll be eternally grateful. I want the Disney Castle, but you know….£300 is a little out of my price range.
I did find a cute little store on Amazon that sells Minnie and Mickey in Lego form, so it has helped my obsession just a little!
As I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago, I’ve been a Philip DeFranco fan for quite a while now, and so despite it’s late arrival, this tee from Matt is a definite winner!
Fall out Boy are my absolute favourite band, they always will be, I adore them, and so my Mam bought Matt and I tickets to their UK shows in March for Christmas. I’m so so excited. In addition to this, Matt pre-ordered the new album MANIA for me in a bundle so I get loads of new FOB merch too. It arrives next week and I could cry.
I recently learned that I have a love for Funko! Pop Vinyls, because duh…have you seen how cute they are!? Mam kitted me out with all seven dwarfs and snow white herself for Christmas! They’re adorable!
I got new Dr Martens, jeans and a tonne of jumpers for Christmas too, and of course, the best kind of clothing ever….pyjamas!!
I’m adding this little video here because we received a really thoughtful gift from my Gran and my sister Mary from Texas, and I thought you’d all like to see!
So there we have it, I’ve probably forgotten a lot because honestly I was spoiled rotten but I am eternally grateful for everything that I received. I’m honestly so lucky. Thank you all!
I’ll catch you next week with some new content and exciting bits!
