Last week my Glossybox arrived, and I found that I was a member of Team Unicorn!
For those of you that don’t know, Glossybox is a beauty subscription box, costing roughly £10 per month, and containing at least five items… although sometimes you do get a little bonus! October is my second month as a subscriber, and so far… I’m a fan.
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll have probably already caught me unboxing this on YouTube, but now I’ve had a bit more of a play with the products I figured a little post wouldn’t hurt!
Item One: Kawaii Brush Cleanser(RRP £7.99)
Personally, I have so many of these, they’re great devices, and so if you’re being introduced by this box…brilliant! Brush cleaning is about to get so much easier for you. But having now used the Kawaii cleanser, I don’t actually see a difference between this one, and the ones I paid £1 for on Amazon, so if this was the selling point of this months box, I’d honestly save your money.
Item Two: Lord & Berry Magic Eye Pencil(RRP £14)
I feel like Lord and Berry are everywhere, and in every subscription box at the moment, so I was pretty sceptical about this, but I now use it daily. I love this little brow pencil. I’d be lying if i said that i noticed the two tone colours actually working, but it’s long lasting, and matches well with my brow colouring so what isn’t to like? Application is quick and easy too.
Item Three: Bang Beauty Multi-purpose Creme(RRP £19.50)
This looked super cute, but I’m really not sure where it will fit into my makeup routine? It’s very pink, and so whilst it’s suggested use is as a highlight, this really won’t look right on my skin at all. Its also very shimmery. It could be used on the lids to add a little glam to a look, or on top of a lipstick for some added sheen, but I honestly don’t see myself using this product much at all.
Item Four: Sleek Creme to Powder Blush(RRP £5.99)
I received this blush in the shade Crimson, which is BRIGHT RED. At first I was absolutely terrified of it, but I’ve actually started using this a lot. It blends out really nicely and a little goes a long way. This also works really nicely on the eyes.
Item Five: Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette: Mermaids vs Unicorns(RRP £4)
This palette is actually nicer than I was expecting it to be, some of the shades are surprisingly pretty and blend out really well. There is a worrying amount of chunky glitter though. On a whole, I’m actually impressed, and it just goes to show that first impressions aren’t always the best!
Thank you for reading guys! I will see you next week. In the mean time you can find me all over the internet!
See you soon,
