I’m sorry it’s been such a long time since my last post. Unfortunately University life was a little more demanding this semester than I had expected, but it’s all fixed now.
This isn’t going to be like my normal posts, there’s no makeup, or beauty, and there isn’t really any hacks for you either. But, it’s for a good reason I promise.
As many of you know, a couple of weeks before Christmas, we sadly lost my Uncle. He had a heart attack and then following a Triple Bypass, unfortunately passed away.
It was his final wish that his daughter Heather, would host an event to raise money for the ward that looked after him, the CICU at James Cook Memorial Hospital in Middlesbrough, and the British Heart Foundation.
The event is on February 24th 2017, and will be filled with fun, from karaoke and a disco, with the odd game of bingo, a sweets cart and photo booth. There is also a raffle with some amazing prizes. The ticket itself puts you into a raffle to win a mountain bike which was kindly donated by Halfords!
Unfortunately tickets for the event have now sold out, but we have many more wishing to donate and help. It is for this reason that Heather has set up a JustGiving page that will donate directly to the British Heart Foundation. Please donate whatever you can, as big or small, it’s an incredible and worthy cause I can assure you.
If you can’t donate, a simple share can help just as much.
I have to say that I am incredibly proud of Heather, some people when faced with such a tragic loss would let it break them, instead Heather has grown stronger than ever and worked incredibly hard to ensure that this event will be a success. I know my Uncle Stan would be so incredibly proud of all that she has and will achieve.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this, and thank you in advance for all of our support for this event, and any donations that are received. Again I apologise for leaving it so long since my previous post, but I’m back, and I thank you for your patience. Keep your eyes peeled for an update of the event in just two weeks; I can’t wait to show you all of the fun!
See you all very soon!
